Coaching is education and support
Nurse coaching helps you identify wellness priorities, set realistic goals, build sustainable habits, improve self-awareness and remain accountable. It is a partnership, not a clinical service.
What coaching is not
- Not emergency care and not monitored for emergencies.
- Not psychotherapy, counseling or mental-health treatment.
- Not primary care and not a substitute for your physician.
- Not diagnosis of any condition.
- Not prescribing, and not advice to start, stop or change any medication.
- Not interpretation of laboratory or diagnostic results.
- Not symptom triage of any kind, automated or otherwise.
No promised outcomes
Coaching does not guarantee any particular health, wellness or life outcome. Individual experiences differ. Any benefits described on this site are possibilities, not promises.
Scope of practice and licensure
Coaching is delivered within the nurse's lawful scope of practice and only in states where the nurse is licensed or otherwise authorized at the time of service. The Nurse Licensure Compact does not automatically authorize every type of nursing or advanced-practice service.
Your responsibility
Continue working with your physician and other licensed healthcare providers. Bring clinical questions to them. Tell your coach if your circumstances change.
